CSI has a number of opportunities for volunteer leaders and encourages interested members to complete our Volunteer Interest Form. Information about our philosophy of leadership and the variety of available opportunities is included below. Please note that some positions are needed only at particular times of the year (e.g., review panels are all needed in the Fall only) while others are recruited in the Spring/Summer (e.g., committee positions), and others are needed all year (e.g., Counselors' Bookshelf Editorial Board Reviewers).

CSI Review Panels

Please refer to the program descriptions for each area. Reviewers may expect to read essays, grant, or poster sessions proposals, rate them according to preset criteria, and submit ratings and comments in a timely manner. Once selected for membership on a review panel, members will be required to complete an online training before beginning reviews. Because all reviewers are needed during the fall semester, interest is only accepted March through August.

CSI Editorial Review Board: Counselors' Bookshelf

Any CSI member can post a review to the Counselors' Bookshelf (csi-net.org/page/counselorsbookshelf). Reviews are 250 or 500 words long, are subject to blind review, and are published once accepted by the section editor. Editorial reviews are ongoing; therefore interest will be accepted any time. The sections of the Bookshelf include:

• Movies and Television Shows
• Music
• Podcasts and Digital Media

Please share resources you have encountered that can help others learn to be better counselors or help meet the needs of particular clients.
