Chapter Training Modules

The training modules below have been created to help chapters develop exemplary programs and services for CSI members. Each module consists of a set of PowerPoint slides that can be used individually or shown to groups of chapter leaders. They are not narrated or programmed for timed viewing, so users can review them at their own pace.

Best Practices for Counselor Community Engagement is a PowerPoint presentation developed by Dr. Cassie Storlie and CSI's Counselor Community Engagement Committee. The PowerPoint discusses how professional counselors and community members can collaboratively identify, plan, and execute strategies that promote wellness and human dignity within the community.


Bylaws

CSI Bylaws: What All Chapters Should Know is a PowerPoint presentation created by Dr. Nancy Forth, Chair of the CSI Bylaws Committee (2009-2010), which is designed to inform chapters on what they should know about their chapter bylaws. This PowerPoint lists the necessary components of a chapter's bylaws, how to make changes, getting approval, use within the chapter and compliance with CSI International.

Managing Membership Applications: A Primer for Chapter Faculty Advisors is a PowerPoint presentation created by Ms. Susannah Coaston and Dr. Janna Scarborough, Chapter Faculty Advisor Committee, designed to help CFAs manage the online membership application process of new, renewing, and transferring members.


Chapter Voting in CSI International Elections

CSI Chapter Voting in CSI International Elections is a PowerPoint presentation created by Dr. JoLynn Carney, CSI Past-President (2010-2011) designed to help chapter leaders and Chapter Faculty Advisors understand the chapter voting procedures including a suggested timeline, discussion questions, consensus building, and final decisions.


Creating a Chapter Awards Program

Creating a Chapter Awards Program, Parts 1-4, is a series of training packages created by Dr. Danica Hays, CSI Awards Committee Chair, and Mrs. Tonya Jasinski, CSI Fellow, to help chapters with all phases of the awards process.

Creating a Facebook Group

Creating a Chapter Group on Facebook is a PowerPoint presentation created by Stephen D. Kennedy, CSI Chapter Web Resources Consultant, which is designed to help chapters set up a chapter Facebook Group. A Facebook Group for a chapter encourages networking, provides news to members, advertises chapter events, hosts discussion forums and introduces leaders to alumni and new members.
