Call for Papers & Instructions to Authors
Manuscript Deadline: December 1st, 2016
Anticipated publication date: Fall, 2017

Counseling & Wellness is a refereed professional online counseling journal published annually by the Beta Alpha Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota at Northern Arizona University. The purpose of CWJ is to provide a forum primarily for current Masters and Doctoral level Counselors-in-Training from active Chi Sigma Iota chapters to share original research related to effective counseling practices and/or the articulation of research findings associated with wellness, well-being, positive psychology and adaptive personal adjustment in counseling contexts. All articles will again be discoverable and indexed via Google Scholar. The 2017 journal has an anticipated publication date of early Fall, 2017. Last year’s edition can be found here:

Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 20 double-spaced pages, and should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.). All manuscripts should include an abstract that contains 150-250 words. The review process will be masked. The first page of the manuscript should not include information about the authors or their affiliations. The authors should make every effort to assure that the manuscript does not contain clues to the authors’ identity. A separate cover letter should include all identifying information about the authors. The cover letter should include all authors’ names and email addresses. Publication priority will be given to manuscripts that have first authors who are current Masters or Doctoral level students from an active CSI Chapter, and should include verification of the primary author’s student status, including name, contact information and signature from a current program faculty member. Collaboration with non-students, including faculty members from CSI-chaptered programs, is welcomed. It is expected that the authors’ work will be original.
