In
the four years I was priviledged to know LaShawn, I believe the word
that best captures her in my mind, is "fearless." LaShawn was brave, she
was bold and she was beautiful. LaShawn had a contagious smile and
infectious laugh. She loved life, her faith, her family, her friends
and she loved her profession. Too much service was, for her I think,
never enough. I don't think I know how many organizations and clubs
LaShawn belonged to. But being so active, she touched so many lives. I
know she touched mine.

Originally published on 9/27/2011 at csi-net.org.

LaShawn's
memory will live on in all that had the honor of knowing her. Having
had the opportunity to present with her during CSI days at ACA was a
great experience. Her passion for life and for counseling will continue
