Hello,

I recently became a member of the Chi Sigma Iota association and was exploring the various recorded webinars to see what resources were offered. Subsequently, I was faced with the barrier- the cost ($39) for each webinar. I was wondering, what criteria must be met for a member to be considered an active member? The webinar that was in particular interest is 'Managing responsibilities and encouraging student involvement'.

The reason being, I am trying to be active member of my local chapter by identifying incentives/ factors to promote student involvement. More specifically, I am serving as the multicultural and social justice coordinator at my university and am currently in the process of creating a survey; this survey will be used to identify students' perceptions of incentives regarding the likelihood of attending a speaker event and then, be taken into consideration in terms of what we can do to address this systemically. If you could please assist me with this issue or suggest other options that I may consider (e.g., other free resources, suggestions you may have regarding promoting student involvement), it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Congratulations on chapter involvement and interest in encouraging student involvement. The CSI webinars are free to all active CSI International members. For membership, you must be invited to join (having met all the criteria for membership), create the account, pay the membership fee, be approved by your Chapter Faculty Advisor, and participate in the formal initiation ceremony. I believe that the access to the webinars are available to those pending initiation but have at least been approved through CSI International headquarters and their Chapter Faculty Advisors. If all that has been completed, you are logged in, and still not able to see the $0 cost for webinars, you can contact CSI HQ for assistance.
