United States: Debmar-Mercury. <br><br><div><span style="font-weight: bold;">Reviewer:</span></div><div>Nakpangi Thomas<br></div><div><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Genre:</span></div><div>Comedy<br></div><div><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Movies/TV Shows:</span></div><div>TV Show<br></div><div><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Suggested Age Range:</span></div><div>Adults Only</div><div><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br>Subject Headings:</span></div><div>Anger Codependency</div><div><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Review:</span></div>Anger Management, a comedy sitcom created by Bruce Helford originally aired on Fox June 2012 based on the 2003 movie with the same name starring actor Jack Nicholson.&nbsp; The premise is set around a former baseball star (Charlie Goodson) turned "Anger Management Therapist” after injuring himself with a bat in an angry rage.&nbsp; Charlie decides to return to anger management after attacking his ex-wife’s boyfriend with a lamp (episode one).&nbsp; The sitcom stars actors Charlie Sheen (Charlie Goodson), an "Anger Management Therapist” with a possible sex addiction and Martin Sheen (Martin Goodson) his bullying father.&nbsp; While living his own dysfunctional life, Charlie manages to have a successful private practice conducting anger management group sessions in his home and at a local prison.<br><br>The Anger Management series demonstrates Tuckman and Jensen’s five stages of group dynamics: forming or dependency, storming or conflict, norming or cohesion, performing or interdependence, and adjournment or termination.&nbsp; Counselor educators and supervisors may explore group dynamics with counseling students such as the process of group members’ interactions, leadership interventions for group facilitation, applying feedback, or modeling.&nbsp; Educators and supervisors may highlight Charlie’s unethical behaviors such as boundary crossing with his therapist, best friend, and lover or with former clients to hone in on the importance of adhering to ethical and legal codes. In season three episode 79, Charlie encourages a client to get high.&nbsp; Other episodes may depict Charlie counseling while intoxicated.<br>]]></description>
