Into the Wild, a biographical film, follows recent Emory graduate, Chris McCandless on his hitchhiking journey across America. Chris, who was fed up with the demands of mainstream society as well as his conservative parents, gave away his entire life savings and embarked on a journey of self-discovery. His ultimate goal was to reach Alaska, and he met many interesting characters along the way. He formed closer bonds with these strangers than he had with his own parents. When he made it to Alaska, Chris found himself alone in the wild, living in an abandoned bus. He learned more about himself in the following months than he had in his entire life.
