CSI Showcase of Chapters:
Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence
Friday, March 13, 2015
4:30 to 6:00 PM
The purpose of the "Showcase of Chapters” is to celebrate the chapters of Chi Sigma Iota and to provide chapters an opportunity to highlight their activities and accomplishments. The Showcase will allow chapter leaders to learn from each other, discuss opportunities for networking and building stronger chapters, and consider how to provide better services to CSI members.
We have requested a room with 75 rectangular tables. CSI International will have at least three tables for display to showcase our JCLA, Exemplar, webpage, and committee activities. CACREP and NBCC will be offered tables, leaving 70 tables for the chapters. Large chapters may require a full table while some chapters could share a table, increasing the total number of chapters that may participate.
Chapters interested in participating in the Showcase should complete the on-line application form. Applications will be accepted through 5:00 pm EST on January 15, 2015. Chapters that meet the following criteria will be considered for the Showcase:
1. Must be an active chapter.
2. Must have a minimum of two members agree to be present during the Showcase.
3. Must agree to abide by CSI's policies in relation to logo and trademark.
4. Must agree to promote only identity as a professional counselor and the importance of counselor education programs.
Selection of chapters to participate in the Showcase will be made by a committee comprised of members of the CSI Executive Council and the CSI Chapter Development Committee. Consideration will be given to maximizing diversity among the chapters in regard to geographic region as well as chapter size (i.e., large and small). In order to accommodate as many chapters as possible, we encourage chapters to form consortiums within their own states and to present jointly.
Applications to participate in the Showcase of Chapters must be submitted by January 15, 2015 at 5:00 PM EST. Chapters selected to participate will be notified no later than February 15, 2015.
