Neurofeedback Series:
Case Studies in Neurofeedback: Post Chemotherapy and TBI

Robert E. Longo, MRC, LPC, NCC, BCN Associate Fellow

Wednesday, December 6, 2017
2:00-3:00 PM EST

The third webinar in CSI's Neurofeedback Series will discuss two cases in which Neurofeedback was used to alter, relieve, or eliminate symptoms related to two conditions/situations: 1) Post Chemotherapy and, 2) Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The presentation will include case overviews, qEEG brain maps, presenting problems, treatment protocols used, progress over time with each case, and Neurofeedback training outcomes. Participants will learn how Neurofeedback can affect changes in the brain throughout pre/post treatment measures using qEEG brain mapping.

Because this webinar will cover advanced topics in Neurofeedback, we recommend that CSI members review the first two webinars in the Neurofeedback Series, "An Overview of qEEG Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback" and "Incorporating Neurofeedback Into Your Practice" before attending this presentation. Participants who attend all three Neurofeedback webinars (either live or by watching the recordings) will be eligible for a special certificate documenting completion of the Neurofeedback Series by responding to a survey offered after the December 6 webinar.

Learning Objectives:

Using Neurofeedback After Chemotherapy:
1. Participants will understand the possible side effects of chemotherapy on the brain and body.
2. Participants will learn how chemotherapy can impact changes in the brain.
3. Participants will learn Neurofeedback treatment protocols to address various side effects of chemotherapy.
4. Participants will become familiar with literature that addresses how Neurofeedback can affect changes in white and grey matter in cancer patients.

Using Neurofeedback After a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI):
1. Participants will understand the effects of head injury on the brain and body.
2. Participants will learn how TBI can impact changes in the brain.
3. Participants will learn Neurofeedback treatment protocols to address TBI.
4. Participants will become familiar with some literature that address how Neurofeedback can effect changes in the brain and physical health.
