This webinar will focus on the integration of spirituality within leadership. The focus will be on making decisions about leadership opportunities and leading with heart in a way that follows that Tao or natural order of the universe. The focus will be on the integration of spirituality within various models of leadership, including servant leadership, in a way that is meaningful for you as an individual. The webinar will include an invitation to reflect on your own leadership style.

Learning Objectives:

By the conclusion of the webinar, participants should be able to:
1.    Identify their own leadership style
2.    Identify how their personal spirituality interfaces with leadership
3.    Reflect on processes that will help them make heartful decisions as leaders

Craig Cashwell

Craig S. Cashwell, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS is Professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Development at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). He currently serves as President-Elect of Chi Sigma Iota. Craig has previously served as ASERVIC President, CACREP Board Chair, and ACES representative to the ACA Governing Council. Craig has received numerous awards, including outstanding mentor awards from UNCG and the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools, the CSI International Thomas J. Sweeney Professional Leadership Award, and the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC) Lifetime Service Award. In 2011, Craig received designation as an ACA Fellow.

J. Scott Young

J. Scott Young, Ph.D., NCC, LPC is Professor and Chair of the Department of Counseling and Educational Development at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was a professor for 12 years at Mississippi State University, and has been a practicing counselor in private practice, agency and hospital settings for 20 years. His leadership in the field includes service as president of the Association for Spiritual Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling and member of the Governing Council and Executive Committee for the American Counseling Association. He is co-editor of the book Integrating Spirituality into Counseling: A Guide to Competent Practice and the text Counseling Research: Quantitative, Qualitative, and Single Subject Design. He has published numerous articles on the interface of clinical practice with spirituality and religion.
