Chapters of Chi Sigma Iota are university-based and located in regionally accredited institutions of higher education that have officially designated counselor preparation programs. Currently there are 283 chapters in the United States and other parts of the world. This page includes resources to support chapter development, including information on starting or reactivating chapters, chapter leadership and leadership training materials, guidelines for processing memberships and planning initiations and ceremonies, policies for chapters and required forma and reports, and resources for chapter activities and chapter networking.
Chapters with committees and officers will find useful resources in this section including awards programs, preparing bylaws, social networking and chapter websites, counselor community engagement and professional advocacy, finances and fundraising, and strategies for involving alumni, professional, and former members.
Special resources are available for new or reactivating chapters.

Counselor education programs considering establishing a new chapter should review the CSI Bylaws and Guidelines for Chartering a Chapter. Chapters that have become inactive may be reactivated at any time by meeting the requirements for being an active chapter.
